EPA Ozone Regulations, Moving Forward

On October 1st, just under the wire for a court-ordered deadline, the EPA released a new ruling to further reduce ground level smog, lowering the allowable ozone limits from 75 parts per billion (ppb), down to 70 ppb. At the EPA, All About Ballast

At the EPA, it's all about the ballast. Ballasted roofs, that is. The EPA recently updated its ENERGY STAR website, stating that, “ballasted EPDM roofing systems are a very effective means of significantly lowering the roof top surface temperature similar to reflective roofing products.”
